The Commodore, the Waterfront, and Westlake
Met on arrival at Cape Town International and transferred to The Commodore on the V&A Waterfront — Table Mountain one way, Robben Island the other. Welcome dinner at 19:00 at Baia. Next morning, golf at Westlake beneath the Silvermine mountains, then lunch and a wine tasting at Tryn at Steenberg in the Constantia valley.
De Zalze Lodge, and the winelands’ two estate courses
Into the winelands for three nights at De Zalze Lodge, framed by vineyards and the Stellenbosch mountains. Golf at Devonvale Golf & Wine Estate, then at De Zalze Golf Club — Peter Matkovich’s parkland test along the oak-lined Blaauwklippen — followed by a long lunch and tasting at Klein Zalze.
Big Five safari — and the cliffs of Pinnacle Point
East along the Garden Route to Gondwana Game Reserve, the Southern Cape’s only free-ranging Big Five reserve, for two nights in the Lehele Villas — game drives among lion, elephant, rhino and the fynbos found nowhere else on earth. Between drives, the round everyone photographs: Pinnacle Point, four kilometres of clifftop above the Indian Ocean.
Pezula, Simola, and a braai on the lagoon
Three nights at Knysna Hollow Country Estate. Golf at Pezula atop the Knysna Heads, then an evening braai aboard a private catamaran on the lagoon. A final round at Jack Nicklaus’s Simola above the Knysna River, and a farewell dinner at Sirocco on Thesen Island. Morning transfers to George airport close the tour.
